Kites Not Scissors aims to match up creative people between the ages of 15 and 25 (although there are no age restrictions for the over 25's) from the Thanet area with fun and exciting projects including art exhibitions, open mic jam sessions, poetry readings, film making, plays, and any other creative events that YOU can think of.

How it works: join this creative collective by emailing your name (real and/or "stage name"), age and creative interests to kitesnotscissors@live.co.uk you will then be on the mailing list and your name will be added to the blog (we can also include links to your online portfolios). You will recieve regular newsletters about events and ideas and deadlines which will also be posted on this blog. Ideas are a free for all so just email us as and when you have them and we will add them to newsletters. Each month we will also pick a member of the collective at random and feature them on the blog with an interview and images of you and your work.

Joining the collective is free. You are under no obligation to take part in projects that you are uninterested in.

We are also looking for small local businesses like bars, cafes, etc to become sponsors of Kites Not Scissors free of charge, just show your support by holding events and helping us promote the collective.
